This painting is inspired by watching the cut between Masonboro Island and Wrightsville Beach. Everyday you see working and recreational boats plying the water and I often wonder what they are thinking. My boat is perfect v I love his boat. Poor guy - he can only catch 1 at a time v I'm glad I don't have to clean that huge catch. I wish I fished for recreation v I wish I were a waterman. Personally I've always thought I wanted to be a waterman. I know it is a difficult way to make a living but I do love the sea.
